Aussie emulation mash-up Sept. 30
Sep 30th 2011, 07:32

Aussie developer Nnooo unleashed its latest game onto the WiiWare store this week with EscapeVektor: Chapter 1. The premise is pretty simple: guide Vektor through a series of interconnected lines while trying not to get taken out by enemies. The game features more than 30 levels and has its own achievements system built in for those who pride themselves on digital badges.

The other big game being released on a Nintendo platform this week is The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition. Regardless of what flavour Nintendo DS console you have, if you can access the DSiWare store in it, then you can download the game for free! Four Swords was the first game in the Zelda franchise to feature multiplayer support, and this rerelease has been upgraded so that it's playable over Wi-Fi. Be sure to check out our original review of the game for more information.

Both Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network Store share Mercury HG this week, which is a little puzzler that sees players navigating a blob through a series of mazes. The Mercury series started off life as a PSP franchise but has since been released for the Wii and now on high-def consoles as well.

Mercury HG is about where the similarities end, with Worms Ultimate Mayhem being released on XBLA, and the PSN updating with Rochard, Elemental Monster, and a few other indie games.
