Last month the retro video game, rock 'n roll, pop-culture, novelty song world lost one of its most defining voices with the passing of Gary Garcia. As co-writer of the Billboard chart topping hit single, Pac-Man Fever, Garcia came up with most of the lyrics and sang lead vocals, as his friend and partner Jerry Buckner composed the music and performed the instrumentals and back-ups.
