Namco Bandai fighter gets global release window as Katamari Damacy rolls to Vita, Tekken 3D Prime Edition set for February, and Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy takes off Nov. 15.

TOKYO--Dark Souls may be one of the most anticipated titles coming from Namco Bandai this year, but the publisher's pre-Tokyo Game Show event yesterday focused more on release windows for its 3DS and Vita titles, as well as additional details for Soulcalibur V.

Carlson Choi, the vice president of marketing opened the presentation by talking about the company's vision and goals. Then he announced that Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy will be coming to the Nintendo 3DS in the United States on November 15, with a European release date still to be determined.

Tekken 3D Prime Edition for the 3DS was also given a release window of February 2012. Following the 3DS news, Choi revealed three games that are set to come out during the launch window of the PlayStation Vita. They include Namco's long-running series Ridge Racer, the quirky Katamari Damacy and Acquire's Shinobido 2: Tales of the Ninja.

To wrap up the presentation, producer Hisaharu Tago came onto the stage to talk about Soulcalibur V and how Namco has outsourced parts of the game. Development studio CyberConnect 2, known for the .hack series and Naruto Ultimate Ninja games, will be collaborating with Namco for the fighter. The music in the game is being handled by Creative Intelligence Arts Inc, and will include pieces from composers Cris Velasco (God of War III) and Inon Zur (Dragon Age). Additionally, Forcewick Sound Design will be tending to the game's audio, utilizing Grammy-award winning recording/mixing engineer John Kurlander's talents. Soulcalibur V is set to have a global release in Q1 of 2012.
