Classic Video Games About Food
Sep 3rd 2011, 10:02

Let's face it, nothing goes together better than food and video games. Heck, for many of us retro gamers of the '80s, the local video arcade and pizza place were one in the same. Perhaps that's how Nolan Bushnell, co-founder of Atari, came up with the idea of starting Chucky Cheese.

So what better way is there to attract gamers in the retro days than combining the two things that are always on their mind, eating and video games? This is the top 10 of video games about food and eating! Bon Appétit!

Pac-Man

Packshot © Namco
  • Publisher: Namco
  • Year: 1980
  • Platform: Video Arcade Cabinet

The ultimate game about chowing down, the only goal of Pac-Man is to eat everything in sight. From dots, power-pellets, fruit and ghosts, players wind their way around mazes, as they stuff the face of the well loved character that was nothing more than a simplified yellow head created to house an enormous chomping mouth.

Even the name, creation and myths behind the character were inspired by eating. The rumor was that creator Tōru Iwatani became inspired when he saw a pizza with a single slice missing. In reality Pac-Man's shape evolved out of the Japanese character for "mouth" and the name Pac-Man spawned from "paku-paku", the Japanese description of a rapidly moving mouth.

BurgerTime

Packshot © Midway Games
  • Publisher: Data East
  • Year: 1982
  • Platform: Video Arcade Cabinet

Originally titled Hamburger, BurgerTime's platform levels are built out of burger ingredients, including buns, patties, lettuce and tomato, with a plate below each stack. As Peter runs over each ingredient, it collapses to the platform below. The level is complete when each burger is formed onto the waiting plates.

But don't go thinking that the only dangers of burger making are clogged arteries, the real dangers are in the chef's arch-enemies, Mr. Hot Dog, Mr. Pickle, and Mr. Egg, who are anthropomorphize food items who chase the hapless chef around. The only way to defeat them is to catch the evil edibles between or on top of the falling burger layers.

Fast Food

Packshot © Telesys
  • Publisher/Developer: Telesys
  • Year: 1982
  • Platform: Atari 2600

To confirm the fears parents have about the kids eating too much junk food and video games comes Fast Food for the Atari 2600! In the manual it screams the object of the game is to "Get Fatter! Consume as many calories as you can before you get your fill of purple pickles and the snack bar closes."

As a pair of floating lips that look more like a purple claw-like clam, you scarf up salty and sweet stuffs such as Root Beer, Hot Dogs, Cheeseburgers and French Fries. The higher the calorie content the more you score.

Like the real-life hazards of gorging on fast food, you've got to avoid the purple pickle. If you down six of these dills-gone-bad, you burp and the game will be over.

Tapper aka Root Beer Tapper

Flyer © Midway Games
  • Publisher/Developer: Bally Midway
  • Year: 1983
  • Platform: Video Arcade Cabinet

As you juggle a series of bar tables with thirsty customers lining up, fill mugs with brew and slide it down to the barflies before the boozehounds reach the end of the bar. After they gulp it down they slide the empties back for you to catch. Break any mugs or serve up brew too soon and you lose a turn.

In the first release the bartender was serving beer, made obvious by the large "Budweiser" sign in the background. The game quickly caught on, but its promotion of the devil's brew was considered inappropriate for kid-friendly video arcades, so the next year Tapper was retitled as Root Beer Tapper, with the Budweiser sign changed to a retro Root Beer sign.

Chase the Chuckwagon

  • Publisher/Developer: Purina/ Spectravision
  • Year: 1983
  • Platform: Atari 2600

One of the few games that require you to actually buy food so you can get it; namely mailing in proof-of-purchases from Purina's Chuckwagon dog food.

Based on the Chuckwagon dog food TV ads, it's feeding time for fido when the Chuckwagon appears at the top of the screen, but much to the pooches dismay, he's stuck in the middle of a maze. Manipulate your pup through the maze before the chuckwagon disappears and you'll have a fully fed hound in hog heaven.

Adventure

  • Publisher: Atari
  • Year: 1979
  • Platform: Atari 2600

This time you are the food as a hungry dragon hunts you down though a series of rooms as you search for a golden chalice. In what is considered to be the very first multi-roomed adventure video game, inspired by the groundbreaking text-based computer game Colossal Cave Adventure, as you search for keys to the various castles you must dodge a ravenous reptile or fight him off with your sword. If the dragon puts the bite on you, your character can be seen in his belly as he runs around from screen to screen.

Rampage

  • Publisher: Bally Midway
  • Year: 1986
  • Platform: Video Arcade Cabinet

The perfect diet for any giant monster "rampaging" though a city is people of course. In the classic Midway giant monster mash-up you and two other players can control three giant monsters set on destroying major cities and eating lots of innocent folk.

When you start to feel a little drained the only thing to do is get your power up though nourishment, namely eating people trapped in the buildings your destroying, or soldiers who are trying to fight you off. Other, less brutal foods include fruit and chicken. There are also poisonous tidbits such as toilets and cigarettes.

Kool-Aid Man

Print Ad © Mattel
  • Publisher: Mattel
  • Year: 1983
  • Platform: Atari 2600 / Intellivision

Oh yeah! Nothing like fun in the sun during the endless days of summer until those evil Thirsties come to town and dehydrate all the kids and drain their pool by sucking down all the water. It's Kool-Aid man to the rescue, smashing up walls and blasting away the Thirsties with refreshing, sugary Kool-Aid…of course sugar does dehydrate you, but why ruin a good advertising campaign with reality?

What's even more unreal is that this game wasn't just a giveaway for Kool-Aid points, but was actually available for sale at the local video game shops. Mattel teamed up with Kraft Foods to make one of the biggest advergames disguised as a retail video game ever.

Food Fight

Arcade Flyer © Atari
  • Publisher/Developer: Atari
  • Year: 1983
  • Platform: Video Arcade Cabinet

A game where ice-cream is the goal and nutritional food are weapons has you playing Charley Chuck on a mission to reach his ice-cream cone before it melts. The only thing blocking Charley from his frozen dairy treat are a group of angry chefs out to stop you from your "just deserts".

As you dodge the crazed cooks, you can pick up and throw discarded food items like pies, watermelons, bananas and tomatoes. Getting hit by food will stop the culinary cuisiniers, but be warned, these food artisans can also toss the edible ammo. Get hit by food, touched by a chef or your ice-cream melts, you lose a life and a meal.

Frogs and Flies aka Frog Bog

Arcade Flyer © Mattel
  • Publisher: Mattel
  • Year: 1982
  • Platform: Atari 2600, Commodore 64, Intellivision

While gobbling up files might not seem too appetizing for us humans, for our swamp green friends, chewing down in the buzzing insects is a treat that can't be beat, so much so that it's the entire goal of the game. Controlling a frog you hop back and forth across two lily pads, shooting out your tongue as you attempt to eat as many flies as possible before time runs out.

The Atari 2600 and Commodore 64 version of the game were simply titled Frogs and Flies, but the version released for the Intellivision was given a graphics and name upgrade, calling it Frog Bog. Today Frog Bog has gained a cult status and even made a cameo in the 2006 movie Grandma's Boy.

68% of European Xbox Live subscriptions sold at retail
Sep 2nd 2011, 22:25

Microsoft has set up Xbox Live so users can sign up and renew it from the comfort of their living rooms, but more than two-thirds of European customers still choose to go through retailers instead of signing up online.

Speaking with MCV, Xbox Live European marketing manager Robin Burrowes said "68 percent of Europe's Xbox Live subscription acquisitions come from retail." The factoid was dropped in a conversation about how Microsoft is trying to keep retailers involved in its digital businesses.

Not all console makers are taking the same approach to retail partners; Sony plans to launch the PlayStation Vita in Europe and North America next year, and it has already said that all retail games for the system will also be available digitally from day one. Burrowes told the trade site that Microsoft has no plans to use that approach with its own system, specifically out of consideration for retailers.

"We are very respectful of the retail environment, in that we have a window between the release of a retail game and the digital one," Burrowes said. "There are no immediate plans to change that."

Just prior to this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, Microsoft revealed that it has 35 million "active users" of Xbox Live worldwide. However, the Xbox 360 maker did not specify how many of them were users of the free Xbox Live Silver service and how many paid for Xbox Live Gold subscriptions.

Deus Ex getting DLC augmentation in October
Sep 2nd 2011, 21:34

Following the row surrounding Deus Ex, GameStop, and OnLive, it seems likely Square Enix would be happy to shift the conversation back to positive developments for its cyberpunk action game. That chance came today, as the publisher announced Deus Ex will receive its first downloadable content release this October with The Missing Link.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD

The Missing Link follows up on events that transpire during the full version of Deus Ex, in which Adam Jensen goes mysteriously AWOL for a three-day period. Square Enix describes this episode as a time when Jensen has lost his augmentation powers and must escape a freighter using only the abilities nature gave him.

The Missing Link introduces a handful of new characters and enemies that play into the game's storyline. Square Enix also played up the add-on's opportunity to rebuild Jensen's augmentations from scratch.

END SPOILERS

Square Enix did not announce pricing information for the downloadable add-on. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's review.

PlayStation 3 | Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Preview - What's New, What's Changed, and What's Gone
Sep 2nd 2011, 19:30

Here are some of the biggest updates to the latest Call of Duty.

Call of Duty XP is opening up to the public today in Los Angeles, and despite the dizzying number of events and attractions, the real star of the show is the chance for fans to get their hands on Modern Warfare 3's competitive multiplayer mode. If you're not in town for the festivities, though, fear not: We already have a thorough video demo courtesy of executive producer Mark Rubin, and we have the chance to play the game for ourselves. So take a look at the video below, and read on for some news on what's new, what has changed, and what's gone in Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer.

What's New

Perhaps the biggest addition to multiplayer in Modern Warfare 3 is an all-new game mode called Kill Confirmed. This mode uses Team Deathmatch as a template and alters the scoring system in a few clever ways. Basically, if you get killed, you drop a set of dog tags. If you pick up the dog tags from a recently killed enemy player, your team gets points, and if you pick up the dog tags from a fallen teammate, you deny the other team the chance to get the points for that kill. So while you get all the usual XP for killing someone, the act of taking someone down doesn't have any influence over the outcome of the match: it's all about confirming that kill by picking up dog tags.

The scoring system in Kill Confirmed winds up creating some interesting new potential for strategy you wouldn't otherwise see in a standard game of Team Deathmatch. You can create specialized roles, like someone focused purely on killing enemies from afar, complemented by others whose job it is to rush into combat zones and try to snag as many dog tags as they can before falling victim to a flurry of bullets. Or you can just try to grief the other team and only go after the dog tags of your teammates. For a variation on Team Deathmatch, there are a lot of different approaches you can take.

Another new feature is weapon-specific levels that lead to unlockable proficiencies (or perks, basically). Yep, now you're not leveling up just yourself, but your firearm as well. These proficiencies include things like reducing the amount of recoil your gun has, increasing its firing range, and being able to take a deep breath while sniping to steady your aim. Think of it as a benefit of finding one gun you like and sticking with it--a counter to the act of unlocking a weapon attachment that you can just slap onto any old weapon in the game.

What Has Changed

One of the biggest changes in Modern Warfare 3 is the kill streak system. In fact, they're no longer called kill streaks at all. Now they're called points streaks, because in addition to killing enemies, you build up your streak by doing a variety of things to help your team. This includes getting assists, as well as securing objectives in objective-based game modes. So if you're in a game of Domination and you throw a grenade that takes out two enemies and then rush and capture a flag, suddenly you're at a streak of three and ready to call in a UAV.

The other big change is your choice of streaks. You can still pick and choose your preferred trio of streak rewards from a big list, but now there are completely different lists to choose from. These bundles are called strike packages, and they're the developer's attempt to appeal to players who might have different styles as well as different skill levels. For the offensive-minded player, there's the assault strike package, which is like the traditional set of kill streaks in Modern Warfare games of yore. Here you get items like predator strikes, assault choppers, and turret gun placements.

But for the player who might not be as skilled, there's the support strike package. This selection of streak rewards is all about helping out your team, giving you access to things like recon drones and a pile of ballistic vests for any of your buddies to come by and pick up. The kicker with the support strike package is that your streak doesn't reset upon death--you keep building them up and up as the match goes on. And lastly, there's the specialist strike package. This is designed for the lone-wolf player. Basically, you're unlocking new perks from the standard create-a-class screen, but only for yourself. Like with the assault strike package, these reset upon death.

What's Gone

While Infinity Ward certainly hasn't been shy about ramping up the number of unlockable goodies in Modern Warfare's giant bonanza of multiplayer rewards, you can't say the developer hasn't been listening to fans who have cried foul when the features hurt the overall balance. So, yes, the game-ending nuclear bomb kill streak reward has been axed. So has the ability to carry a shotgun as a secondary weapon, which means akimbo shotguns are a thing of the past. A few other things that have been left out of Modern Warfare 3 are perks such as commando and last stand.

And that's the quick rundown of some of the updates to Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer offerings. This is by no means a comprehensive list, because there are plenty of things to cover that we've yet to scratch the surface of. But this should at least give you a good idea of some of the bigger features. For even more information, be sure to watch our Now Playing video demo featuring executive producer Mark Rubin for all the things we didn't cover here.

Xbox 360 | Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Hands-On Preview - Cooperative Play
Sep 1st 2011, 23:00

It is always time for war in the dark future of the 41st millennium. As mankind stands alone on the brink of annihilation, we take up our chainsword and join the ranks of the Adeptus Astartes--better known as the Space Marines. This session was spent running through Space Marine's four-player online cooperative mode, Exterminatus. While not initially included in the upcoming retail release, this mode will be available as a free download for all players 30 days after Space Marine launches. We ran this gauntlet a few times, and here’s what we found out.

The chainsword is one of the most iconic weapons in Warhammer 40,000. You can see it in action here.

Each Exterminatus mission was broken into different arenas. Within those arenas we battled wave after wave of WAAAGH-hungry Orks. If we survived all the waves we got to advance to the next arena. As you may have heard, there are no healing items in the single-player game--you can only recover from damage by using a finishing move to wipe out an incapacitated enemy. So in this new mode, one of the first things we noticed was that our character could no longer perform all the face-smashing, curb-stomping execution kills we had come to love in single-player. Instead, his health was managed by recharging shield and health bars that would refill when he was out of combat.

The developers explained that, in both the Exterminatus and the Versus multiplayer modes, having a character stop to perform an extensive execution kill just made him a fat target for all the other enemies. By the time you'd finished ripping one enemy apart, 10 more would have swarmed and overwhelmed you.

In addition to weathering the green tide, we were given bonus objectives to complete throughout each arena. These included capturing a particular point on the map or racking up a certain number of kills. Most were designed to simply break up the action; however, a few offered significant rewards. In one area, if we captured a particularly difficult point, it would activate a massive laser cannon that we could use to liquefy our opponents.

Whether we were killing enemies or capturing locations, we were always accruing points. These points fed into a meter that would award our team extra lives at certain intervals. All team members drew from the same life pool, so when the going got tough (which didn't take long), we found ourselves running out of lives in a hurry. Once defeated, we had to wait roughly 10 seconds before being given the chance to respawn. And if we all went down, it was game over.

We favored the jump-pack-equipped assault class for its quick mobility and access to the devastating thunder hammer melee weapon. Clad in the striking reds and yellows of the stalwart Imperial Fists chapter and its Primarch, Rogal Dorn, our role was protecting the slow-moving devastator marine. The tactical and second assault marines would fan out and target high-priority enemies that had a nasty habit of hiding in the back. Together, we were a well-oiled killing machine, working as one and burning through greenskins. Then one of us would go down, and the entire plan would go sideways. C'est la vie.

In the aftermath, our team's score was totaled, and we were awarded experience points based on our contributions to the fight. Scores will be uploaded to a leaderboard so you can compare yourself against your battle brothers worldwide. Experience points level up your character and grant you new weapons and perks to use in combat. And the progress you make for your character in Exterminatus will carry over to the Versus multiplayer mode, and vice versa. For more details on Space Marine's multiplayer, including its extensive suite of cosmetic options, check our previous coverage. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine will be released on September 6 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

PlayStation 4 in early 2013?
Sep 2nd 2011, 19:28

Source: A Bitmob report citing a source present at a "high-level meeting" at Sony.

What we heard: There's not much at the heart of the Bitmob article. The report cites a source with the quote, "PlayStation 4 in 18 months." The source apparently heard the news during "a 'high-level meeting' at Sony."

The next paragraph in the article says it's not clear if what happens in 18 months is supposed to be a launch or an announcement. The one after that emphasizes that the source in question isn't a fake or a show-off, and then the rest of the story is reserved for the writer's analysis of what Sony should put into the PS4 and when it should launch, concluding with a restatement of the 18-month window and a "We'll see."

This is not the first time the PS4 has come up. Beyond mentioning the PS4 numerous times around the 2006 launch of the PlayStation 3, Sony confirmed in May that development work on its next console had already begun. In July, Asia information technology site DigiTimes reported that the system would launch in 2012.

The one thing that is safe to assume about any rumor on the PS4 launch at this point is that no matter where it comes from or who reports it, things are not set in stone. Nothing is certain until Sony announces it, and perhaps not even then. Keep in mind, the PS3 was first announced at E3 2005 with a spring 2006 launch date (that changed), a boomerang-shaped controller (that changed), and two HDMI-out ports (that changed). Later on, Sony announced an outrageous Japanese price for the low-end PS3 of ¥60,000, but that changed to the slightly less outrageous ¥49,980 before the system even launched.

The official word: "We don't comment on speculation or rumors."--A Sony representative.

Bogus or not bogus?: The PlayStation 4 is coming eventually. That's not bogus. But at this point, so far from the thing's actual launch, any details--even ones that come directly from Sony--are unreliable at best.

Doom ban lifted in Germany
Sep 2nd 2011, 16:52

After 17 years, regulators drop objections to id Software's blockbuster first-person shooter, saying it's now "mainly of historical interest."

Last week, the iOS version of Wolfenstein 3D was pulled from Apple's Swiss and Austrian App Stores due to its depictions of swastikas. This week brings more restriction news for a seminal first-person shooter from id Software, as German regulators have lifted the 17-year-long ban on Doom and Doom II following an appeal to the ratings board.

Bethesda announced the news on its blog and said it was working to make both games widely available in the country. At the same time, the company confirmed that next month's open-world action game Rage had been approved for release in Germany with no cuts made.

According to a BBC News report, the Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons (Bundesprufstelle) removed Doom from the list of banned titles because it has become "mainly of historical interest" and less likely to be played by children.

However, the panel hearing the appeal was not unanimous in wanting the ban lifted, as some members voted to leave the ban in place. Additionally, the North American version of Doom II remains on the banned list, as it includes levels from Wolfenstein 3D that feature swastikas.

Call of Duty Elite premium tier $50 a year
Sep 2nd 2011, 19:39

Subscription service includes all DLC in monthly content drops featuring multiplayer maps, spec op missions and new game modes; all versions of Hardened Edition include Elite membership.

Activision first announced Call of Duty: Elite in May, but the publisher has been tight-lipped on exactly what the premium-tier of the first-person shooter's subscription-based service would include, and how much it would be.

That changed during the keynote address at today's Call of Duty XP fan convention, as Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg confirmed full-year access to the premium tier of Elite would cost $50. Though Elite will have a free component, paid subscribers will get a number of perks, including access to all pieces of downloadable content released for the game. These will be delivered on a monthly basis. The DLC on its own will cost a total of $60, Hirshberg said.

There will be multiple ways to sign up for Elite, but perhaps the simplest is to purchase the Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition. The $100 package will include the game, an Elite membership, and lifetime founder status in the service.

Premium Elite members will also be able to participate in competitions for prizes of both the real and virtual sort. For example, Activision is giving away a Call of Duty special edition Jeep to one player in the Call of Duty Elite beta. Paid members can also level-up clans and receive eight times more video-capture capacity. They'll also receive video content including strategy and analysis from some of the best competitive players in the world, as well as the Elite TV episodic content from talent like Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and directors Ridley and Tony Scott.

Both paid and free Call of Duty Elite subscribers will get access to Facebook integration in Modern Warfare 3, so players can jump into a game with any one on their friends list. The service also supports groups, which will be based on interests shared between gamers.

For more on Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty's first fan convention, check out GameSpot's Call of Duty XP home page.

Star Trek Online setting phasers to freemium
Sep 2nd 2011, 19:54

From Lord of the Rings Online to Age of Conan, success stories abound for massively multiplayer online role-playing games that flip to a microtransaction-driven freemium business model. With Cryptic Studios' Champions Online going the freemium route in January, it should come as no surprise that the MMOG specialist has similar intentions for Star Trek Online.

Cryptic Studios confirmed this week that it intends to transition Star Trek Online to a freemium business model by the end of this year. The studio expects to have additional information on its pricing and execution strategy for Star Trek Online available next week.

News of the announcement first arrived during a Perfect World post-earnings conference call last week. In that report, chief financial officer Kevin Lau confirmed that a freemium version of Star Trek Online will arrive in the US and China. Perfect World bought Cryptic from Atari in May 2011.

Star Trek Online received middling review scores when it first launched for the PC in February 2010. The game operates independently from any of the events established in the film or television series.

Players assume the role of a starship captain operating under the banner of either the United Federation of Planets (better known simply as "the Federation") or the Klingon, who are locked in an intergalactic struggle. The hive-minded Borg will also play a role in the MMOG.

NASCAR Unleashed Announced
Sep 2nd 2011, 05:27

Arcade Racers Barrel off the Track and onto the Open Road in an All-New Driving Adventure.

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ â€" Hot on the (w)heels of NASCAR The Gameâ„¢ 2011, Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) announced today NASCAR® Unleashed, the newest entry in the NASCAR branded racing series that delivers the fastest and most exciting gameplay yet. Available this fall for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, the Wiiâ„¢ from Nintendo and the Nintendo 3DSâ„¢, NASCAR Unleashed will allow players to take their racer “to the streets” by driving on AND off some of NASCAR’s most famous tracks in this stylistically souped-up arcade racing competition.

After picking a turbo-charged race machine from 15 of NASCAR’s biggest names, including NASCAR Sprint Cup series drivers Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jeff Gordon, and Joey Logano, players are transported into a fast-paced, special effect laden thrill ride. In game NASCAR tracks include: Daytona International Speedway®, Chicagoland Speedway®, Homestead-Miami Speedway(SM), Martinsville Speedway® and Talladega Superspeedway®. Best of all, racers can break free from the oval as they explode onto the pavements, beaches and off-roads of the surrounding cities. For NASCAR fanatics and those new to the sport, the thrill is in discovering the joys of a completely unchained stock car experience. See the sights, feel the salty ocean breeze and blast past the lofty skyscrapers.

“NASCAR has been tremendous in that they’ve given us the flexibility to design different kinds of racing games for their vast audience,” said David Oxford, Executive Vice President of Activision Publishing. “We really wanted to make something electrifying for all NASCAR fans, not just the hardcore. NASCAR Unleashed gives players a new style of speed and excitement, without sacrificing accessibility.”

NASCAR Unleashed was made possible through an agreement between Activision and NASCAR Team Properties, which was formed in 2010 and is an industry-managed organization representing the sanctioning body and nearly all NASCAR teams for the sport’s licensed merchandise business. In June of 2011, NASCAR Team Properties was recognized as “Best Sports Program of the Year” by the International Licensing Industry and Merchandisers’ Association, edging out some of the biggest brands in all of sports.

“NASCAR Unleashed is a wild and imaginative experience with few real world boundaries,” said Blake Davidson, vice president of licensing & consumer products at NASCAR and board member of NASCAR Team Properties. “By integrating NASCAR into a high octane, blindingly fast, home racing experience, we can deliver an entirely unique style of racing that will captivate players and help introduce our sport to new fans.”

The gameplay has no limits and lax physics rules, as the key is bumping and grinding opponents out of the lead to seize the top spot. Mastering popular NASCAR techniques like drafting and sling-shotting earn drivers ‘Boost’ power-ups to pull out in front and pass the checkered flag first. Throughout, an easy to read, arcade style Heads-Up-Display will inform gearheads of their race position, current speed, achievements and unlocks.  Slick audio and visuals keep the game a pick up and play affair that is perfectly suited for young gamers. The end result is a breathtaking, arcade racer experience like no other.

NASCAR Unleashed will be available this holiday season on Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system, Wii and the Nintendo 3DS. The game is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB. For more information, please visit www.Activision.com.
