Despite that success, however, franchise developer Media Molecule won't be making a new Little Big Planet game any time soon. Media Molecule is distancing itself from LittleBigPlanet. According to Media Molecule's studio director Siobhan Reddy (via Edge), the UK-based developer is "stepping away from Little Big Planet to focus on some new ideas." Unfortunately, further specifics as to what Media Molecule will be working on were not offered. Media Molecule is staffing up for its new project, proclaiming on the jobs portal of its website that "new things [are] forming" at the developer. The studio's new job postings indicate that the game will be for portable devices or the PlayStation 3. The next Little Big Planet game scheduled to arrive is for the PlayStation Vita, and is currently in development at Double 11 and Tarsier Studios.
