Nintendo Japan pushes back the latest Nintendo 3DS update; a patch will be available "before December 8".
The video-game industry is no stranger to game delays, but it's not very often that a firmware update gets pushed back. Nintendo Japan originally planned a system update for the Nintendo 3DS on November 30, but with just hours to go, the house of Mario has delayed the release by a few days.
Nintendo Japan has delayed the latest Nintendo 3DS update by about a week, saying that the patch needed more time to prepare. In a statement on its website, Nintendo Japan said that the firmware update would be available to download "before December 8".
While the update isn't set to implement any groundbreaking new features to the handheld console, some of the changes include the ability to record and play 3D movies, have new levels in Street Pass Quest, and have the option to transfer data between Nintendo 3DS consoles.
