Assassin's Creed: Revelations frontman shares his look with Square Enix for forthcoming RPG's downloadable content.
The story of Ezio Auditore reached its conclusion with the release of Assassin's Creed: Revelations earlier this month, but Ubisoft's stealth action hero isn't dropping out of sight entirely. Ezio was already booked to be in SoulCalibur V for the fighting game's January 31 debut, and the assassin is at least lending a spare costume to another game debuting on the same day.
Square Enix today announced that Ezio's costume will be offered as downloadable content for Final Fantasy XIII-2's Noel Kreiss. The costume making the franchise jump will be Ezio's darker outfit from Assassin's Creed: Revelations, rather than his Assassin's Creed II or Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood outfits.
Alternate character costumes have previously been revealed as Final Fantasy XIII-2 preorder bonuses, with GameStop preorders securing an alternate costume for main character Serah. Pricing and release date information for Ezio's costume have not yet been revealed by Square Enix.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 is set for release on January 31 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and is a direct sequel to 2010's well-received Final Fantasy XIII directed by series veteran Motomu Toriyama. In an interview with GameSpot, Toriyama said XIII-2 will be "perhaps even darker and more mysterious" than Final Fantasy XIII.
