EA Sports bringing informal soccer game to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in two months.
When EA Sports announced it was bringing back the FIFA Street franchise in August, the publisher said the game would be out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in early 2012. Now, gamers eager to nutmeg their mates on the blacktop have a specific release date to circle on their calendars.
FIFA Street will arrive for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 13. The game will let players compete in more than 35 locations, from one-on-one battles in parking lots and parks to five-a-side tournaments on the streets of capital cities, with and against both club players and real-life street players.
FIFA Street is the first entry in the arcade soccer series since 2008's FIFA Street 3, which released on the Xbox 360, PS3, and Nintendo DS. That game took a stylized approach to its character models, and featured 250 soccer stars drawn from 18 teams across the globe.
