Next to proven hits like South Park and Futurama, Ugly Americans may feel like the least attractive of Comedy Central's current crop of animated series. Still, the Hell-on-Earth comedy-horror cartoon is about to match its counterparts in one vital area: Having a game adaptation. Comedy Central Games today announced that it will publish Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon on PlayStation Network August 30, with an Xbox Live Arcade debut set for August 31.
Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon features the show's cast of voice actors, as well as a story and new characters provided by the show's creator, Devin Clark. As for gameplay, Apocalypsegeddon is a take on the twin-stick shooter formula, with four-player cooperative action from a top-down perspective. With four playable characters at their disposal, players will take on the show's typically demonic assortment of antagonists with a variety of weapons both logical and loony.
Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon will be available for $10, or 800 Microsoft points.
