Zen Studios' pinball game arriving in eShop for Nintendo's latest handheld on January 12 for $7; four tables included, DLC planned.
Already available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, iOS, and Android devices, Zen Studios is bringing its fast-paced pinball franchise to an entirely new dimension next week.
Zen Pinball 3D--originally slated to arrive last fall--will make its debut in the eShop for the Nintendo 3DS on January 12 priced at $7. For that entry fee, gamers will get four themed tables: Earth Defense, Shaman, Excalibur, and El Dorado. In addition to the expected added visual dimension, Zen Pinball 3D sports multiplayer functionality, online leaderboards, multiple viewpoints, and table-specific missions.
As with the other iterations of Zen Pinball, developer Zen Studios will support Zen Pinball 3D after its launch. Unfortunately, no mention was made as to when players can expect it or how much they will pay for it.
Zen Pinball 3D may be the first pinball title from Zen Studios to arrive on the 3DS, but it won't be the last. At Comic-Con 2011, Marvel revealed that Marvel Pinball was headed to a number of new platforms, including the 3DS.
