Pre-orders starting at Feb 11 at selected outlets; launch event on Feb 22 held at 313@ Somerset shopping center.
With the North American retail plans of the PlayStation Vita already announced, it was only a matter of time until the rest of Asia followed suit. Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong has recently announced the Vita value packs and software bundles on sale soon in Singapore.
The first value pack comes with the PS Vita, a copy of Uncharted: Golden Abyss (English version with Chinese subtitle options), a 4GB Vita memory card, and an accessory pack. The second value pack replaces Uncharted: GA with Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus (the English voice version). The former pack costs S$499 ($400) while the latter costs S$489 ($392).
Sony HK is also selling the software bundle pack versions of the aforementioned bundles, which is essentially the same thing except that these do not include the accessory pack. The bundle with Uncharted: GA costs S$479 ($384) while the bundle with Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus costs S$469 ($376). Pre-orders for these bundles are available at the following outlets starting February 11: the HMV outlets in Somerset and Marina Square, major Sony Center and Sony Store outlets, and game stores such as Funz Centre, Gamescore and Uptron.
On a related note, Sony HK will be holding a PS Vita launch event on February 22 at the 313@Somerset center starting at 5pm. The publisher is also holding a road show to showcase the device and its titles from February 23 to February 26 in the same area from 12pm until 8pm.
Currently, there is no mention on the 3G version of the device. The PlayStation Vita will officially be out in Singapore on February 22. For the list of launch titles in Singapore, check out GameSpot's recent news on the device.
