Fan vote to determine cream of 2011's downloadable PS3 and PSP crop; winners to go on sale for 30-50% off starting next week.
Sony's PlayStation Network Gamers' Choice Awards is giving fans a chance to honor their favorite downloadable titles of the last year, or make the ones they haven't tried yet a bit cheaper to acquire.
Sony today unveiled the nominees for the 2012 PSN Gamers' Choice Awards, intended to honor the best downloadable PlayStation 3 and PSP games of the last year. All 10 categories will be determined by fan voting through the PlayStation Store, and the winners will go on sale next week. Beginning March 6, gamers will be able to buy the award-winning games on PSN for 30 percent off, with PlayStation Plus subscribers getting 50 percent off.
Sony is offering a little extra incentive even if players already own all the games that win. Every vote cast will bring with it an exclusive downloadable PSN Gamers' Choice Awards theme. The full list of nominees follows below.
