Ms. 'Splosion Man blowing up Pinball FX2

Trite though the sentiment may be, Ms. 'Splosion Man is blowing up. The eponymous star of Twisted Pixel's upcoming Xbox Live Arcade title will soon receive an honor previously bestowed upon only the biggest (and most feature-film worthy) characters in the Marvel Comics stable: a Pinball FX2 downloadable table to call her own.

Twisted Pixel and Zen Studios today announced a cross-promotional partnership that will see a Pinball FX 2 Ms. 'Splosion Man downloadable table hit Xbox Live this summer. The pinball tie-in will feature the volatile protagonist looking to free the original 'Splosion Man from the clutches of sinister scientists. The table will be populated by interactive 3D characters pulled from the game and various missions to complete on the way to a showdown with Mighty Eternal.

While Ms. 'Splosion Man will be getting a foothold in Pinball FX2, the Zen Studios game will also be plugged into Twisted Pixel's platformer. When Ms. 'Splosion Man launches on Xbox Live Arcade July 13, it will feature an arcade section akin to that of Twisted Pixel's Comic Jumper. The arcade will feature Pinball FX2, and players will be able to either launch directly into the game (if they have previously downloaded it), or go to the Xbox Live Marketplace to download the free pinball platform.

A price for the Ms. 'Splosion Man table has not yet been confirmed, but previous DLC tables for Pinball FX2 have cost 240 Microsoft points ($3), with players able to demo the playfields for free. The stand-alone Xbox Live game Ms. 'Splosion Man will sell for 800 Microsoft points ($10). For more on the title, check out GameSpot's most recent preview of Ms. 'Splosion Man.
