There are now at least 4 million more phones in the world that will be able to play Infinity Blade II come December 1. Apple announced today that its latest mobile device, the iPhone 4S, moved 4 million units over its first weekend of availability. That's more than double the numbers posted by the iPhone 4 over the same period last year.
This marks the first time Apple has released a phone simultaneously on more than one carrier in the US. The iPhone 4 launched exclusively on AT&T in June of last year, and landed on Verizon in February. The iPhone 4S shipped concurrently across the three biggest networks in the United States: AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint.
The iPhone 4S is currently available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, and the UK. The device's availability will expand to 22 more countries on October 28, and will hit a total of 70 countries by year's end.
