Fallout: New Vegas bets on Ultimate Edition
Nov 3rd 2011, 16:44

It's been over a year since Fallout: New Vegas first hit shelves, but the game's publisher is betting there are still more people out there interested in paying a visit to a postapocalyptic Sin City. Bethesda Softworks today announced Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition, a comprehensive release of the open-world role-playing game with all of its downloadable content packed inside.

Set for release on February 7 in North America and February 10 throughout Europe, the Ultimate Edition will be available on the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Bethesda did not specify a price for the collection.

In addition to the main Fallout: New Vegas campaign, the collection will include the four full downloadable expansions for the game: Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road. It will also feature Courier's Stash (a collection of four smaller add-ons originally used as preorder incentives for New Vegas) and the Gun Runners' Arsenal, which comprises a variety of weapons and weapon mods, as well as additional ammo types and recipes.

Set in the contaminated Mojave wasteland, the main Fallout: New Vegas campaign casts players in the role of a courier who is shot in the head and left for dead. After recovering, players roam the desert and the titular metropolis, exploring new areas and modifying weapons. They also get wrapped up in the larger conflict among the bureaucratic New California Republic, the slave-trading Caesar's Legion, and a mysterious New Vegas impresario named Mr. House.
