The special edition of the upcoming 2D fighting game will contain a set of toys modelled after producers Yoshinori Ono and Katsuhiro Harada.
Capcom's 2D fighting game Street Fighter X Tekken is well on its way on March 6. While the rest of the world will receive a special set of bundles, Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong has announced a rather unique offering for Asia.
Apart from the PS3 version of the title, the special edition will contain a set of Bubble Budd toys modelled after Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono and Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada. The bundle will also contain the game's soundtrack in CD form, a set of cards containing the move sets of each character in the game, and a special code that unlocks 39 exclusive gems for use in the game.
Sony HK also announced two other bundles. The Street Fighter X Tekken Joypad bundle comes with the Madcatz Street Fighter X Tekken Arcade Fight Pad SD, the PS3 copy of the game, and a code for the Asia Original Pack gem set, which contains nine exclusive in-game gems. The Street Fighter X Tekken Joystick bundle contains the Madcatz Street Fighter X Tekken Arcade FightStick Pro, the PS3 copy of the game, and a code for the Launch Attack Pack gem set.
Street Fighter X Tekken was unveiled last year at Comic-Con by Ono and Harada. The game features a fighting system involving tags and cross assaults, and contains Tekken fighters reworked in a 2D engine. Namco Bandai is also working on Tekken X Street Fighter, but there haven't been any significant updates since 2010. A PlayStation Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken is in the works, as well.
