Resistance: Burning Skies will land on Vita consoles this May 29; game to be set in a new part of the Resistance universe.
Billed as "the world's first portable dual-analog FPS" by publisher Sony, the Vita entry in the Resistance franchise, Resistance: Burning Skies, will be landing on the portable console on May 29 this year.
Sony made the announcement on the official PlayStation blog earlier today, revealing more about the game's story and its control scheme.
Burning Skies will take place in an entirely new part of the Resistance universe, which is set during the August 1951 Chimeran invasion of the East Coast. Players will control New Jersey firefighter Tom Riley, who is thrown headlong into the action after a close encounter with the Chimeran way of doing things.
Sony reiterated the game will be the first dual-analog FPS on a portable device, and will take advantage of both the Vita's front and rear touchscreen controls.
